- “Social Creation” Course Concluded
The “Social Creation” course, which focuses on developing projects that creatively address social issues, has come to an end.
Corporate CSR-linked regional branding; creating new iconic destinations using AR apps; visual identity (VI) that fosters a sense of community; and improving visitor retention through the use of IoT devices, among other initiatives.
What really sets KMD apart is that, in addition to ideas, they actually create demos—whether they’re apps, videos, or merchandise.
Since this project was set in Takeshiba—a neighborhood currently undergoing urban development that integrates cutting-edge technologies—we invited representatives from Tokyu Real Estate and Mr. Nakamura of CiP to serve as evaluators for our final presentation. We received very positive feedback from Tokyu Real Estate, who praised the project as being of a very high standard, and we plan to hold further discussions moving forward with the goal of securing funding and moving the project into the implementation phase.
The goal of this course was not just to discuss, refine ideas, and create demos, but to take those ideas all the way to implementation in society, so I want to make sure we achieve that.
We'll be posting everyone's ideas on our website soon.
I’d like to thank Soichi Ueda of Think the Earth, Susumu Namikawa, Executive Creative Director at Dentsu, Ryo Yamazaki, community designer, and everyone at Tokyu Land Corporation for their cooperation. To everyone on the TA team: great job, and thank you.
Above all, to all the students—great job!
After class, there are always students who come up to me to say thank you or send me an email, and that always makes me happy (*^^*) Thank you.
We plan to expand to other regions in the future. If you're interested, please join us! (*^^*)
