- Book Cover Challenge 5
Since Professor Takeo Doi—who has been so incredibly helpful to me—kindly passed the baton to me, I’m posting a book cover. I love picture
books and have started creating Digital Ehon books, so I’m sticking to the picture book theme.
On the fourth day, it was Burton’s *The Little House*.
I was torn between that and *The Hundred-Year-Old House*… but in the end, I went with *The Little House*.

The rules are: “Post one of your favorite books every day for seven days. Upload just a picture of the cover—without any description of the book—and invite one Facebook friend each day to join this challenge.”
I’d like to connect with all the picture book authors I’m friends with on Facebook. I’ll be introducing your work and mentioning your names without prior permission, so
if you happen to see this post and think, “Maybe I’ll join in,” please feel free to do so.
So,
on Day 5, we feature Masatoshi Iriyama. Mr. Iriyama is best known for the popular “Piyo-chan” picture book series,
which has sold a cumulative total of 6.2 million copies. We also collaborated with him to plan and host the “Piyo-chan’s World” exhibition.
It was a special exhibition that incorporated numerous interactive elements into the walls to bring the world of the picture books to life in a physical space.
It also brings back memories of creating interactive Digital Ehon books and other projects!
By the way, my favorite is “Piyo-chan’s Friends.”
