Let’s Express Our Gratitude Right now, people all over the world are living in fear due
to the coronavirus.
Amid all this, the people working
in hospitals—
our healthcare workers—are doing their very best to
protect our lives.
Why not express your
gratitude to these hardworking healthcare workers?
Your “thank you” will give
them the courage they need.

Press Release:

https://prtimes.jp/main/html/rd/p/000000014.000004524.html現在. People around the world are facing great uncertainty as they strive to overcome the COVID-19 crisis, finding ways to contribute and working together as they go about their daily lives.Under these circumstances, we express our heartfelt respect to all healthcare workers supporting community healthcare—including those working on the front lines to prevent the spread of the virus, as well as those providing care to patients with conditions other than infectious diseases.

Amid the spread of COVID-19, I believe many people have come to realize anew just how important it is to maintain our healthcare system. At the same time, I’ve heard that, unfortunately, healthcare workers are sometimes on the receiving end of complaints—arising from the fact that systems and supplies cannot keep up due to the unexpected nature of the crisis—as well as discriminatory remarks regarding the risk of infection. However, many of us who receive medical care are deeply grateful to healthcare workers. We believe that gathering and conveying these feelings of gratitude—even in a small way—can provide emotional support to healthcare workers. Therefore, as “something we can do right now,” three companies that typically provide healthcare and IT services have planned and created a website where people can post messages of gratitude to healthcare workers.

This initiative, titled “Let’s Express Our Gratitude to Healthcare Workers,” is calling for messages of thanks, particularly from children 18 years old and younger who may find it difficult to share their thoughts. We hope this will also serve as an opportunity for children—who have had limited access to learning and extracurricular activities due to the closure of daycare centers and schools—to reflect on healthcare.
