Announcement: Workshop Collection to Be Held Online!

　In addition to a special live-streamed event on Saturday, March 21, we’ll be posting fun videos every day starting today, Friday, March 6.

[1. Special Live Stream! March 21, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.]
We’ll be live-streaming over 10 different online workshops on programming, electronics, dance, music, and more! Special guests will also be appearing, including the hugely popular comedians Ganbare-Ruya, Hyokkori-han, and Obata’s Big Brother!
We’ll also be streaming collaborative workshops with Workshop Collection in Fukuoka!

[2. Stimulate Creativity and Expression! Fun-to-Watch, Play-and-Learn Video Programs] We’re unveiling a wide range of online content for learning and playing at home, including STEAM programs such as programming tutorial videos using free
apps and entertaining science experiment videos, as well as craft projects you can easily make with everyday materials! (To be released sequentially starting March 9)

[3. Participants from 34 Countries Around the World! Winners Announced for the "
Digital Ehon Award," a Grand Prix for Children's Digital Creativity]
As part of our special live stream program, we will host the online awards ceremony for the "Digital Ehon Award," which honors innovative digital creations for children! A video showcasing
the winning entries will also be released!

[4. Launching “Rough & Peace Mother” Video Programs on Play and Learning!]
In collaboration with “Rough & Peace Mother” (under Supervision by CANVAS), a Japanese platform dedicated to play and learning, we will be releasing content based on the concept of “play and learning.”

[5. Comedy Hometown Lessons from Comedians Living in Communities Across Japan!]
Yoshimoto Kogyo’s regional project—featuring “comedians living in communities” spread across all 47 prefectures—has released a video program combining
fun and learning!

　We started creating this content on a tight schedule.
There was some internal debate about whether the quality would be good enough to show
you all, but we’ll do our best within the limited time we have.
Since this is our first time taking on a challenge like this, please forgive us if it’s a little rough around the edges (^^)

    After graduating from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, he served as a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab before founding the NPO CANVAS and the Learning of Tomorrow Association, a General Incorporated Association, and assuming the role of representative. He serves as an outside director for Matsuya Co., Ltd., Fuji Media Holdings, Inc., and Digital Garage, Inc.
    He has served on various government committees, including the Information and Communications Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, as well as the NHK Central Broadcasting Program Council. He also serves as a director of the Digital Signage Consortium, among other roles. He holds a Ph.D. in Policy and Media.
    His publications include *Turning On Children’s Creativity!*, *What Are Smart Kids Doing on Their Smartphones?*, *The Forefront of Online Education in Japan: Considering Learning in the Post-COVID Era*,“What Is Programming Education? 45 Questions Parents Want to Know,” and “Declaration on Digital Education.” He has also provided supervision for numerous works, including “Ah, I See! Programming Education for Parents and Children Through Manga.”
