Set in the world of the Marusai Family—a popular parenting manga series on Instagram—
“Teacher Nanako,” who works at the forefront of programming education,
gently explains the answer to the question, “What is programming education?” From the purpose behind making programming a required part of compulsory education to the true meaning of computational thinking, as well as reports on programming workshops, this engaging story—understandable even for those with zero IT knowledge—lets readers experience a simulated version of these lessons through manga before actual classes begin in elementary school.
It’s a book that will have moms and dads excited about the future that programming opens up for their children.
Additionally, to commemorate the book’s release,
the first 27 pages—featuring the opening color manga that serves as the “Prologue” and “Chapter 1”—have been made available for free on a special page of the ICT education information site “Children and IT.”
You can read the opening sections of the book,
which cover the “objectives” of the programming education set to begin in elementary schools this spring, as well as the question “What is programming?” https://www.watch.impress.co.jp/headline/docs/kodomo_it/news/1232802.html
We realize you are very busy,
but we would greatly appreciate it if you could help spread the word about this book through your media outlet,
