CANVAS Put Your Ideas and Programming Skills to the Test! Take Down the AI Car!! Workshop Coming Up Put Your Ideas and Programming Skills to the Test! Take Down the AI Car!! https://canvas.ws/workshop/22507
Happening on October 20!
This workshop features a race on a racing course between self-driving cars developed by participants and those that have been trained by AI to drive autonomously. It is designed for participants with prior programming experience using Scratch. Within a set time limit, participants will create self-driving cars through simple programming and then race them in a virtual environment on a computer. The race requires more than just programming skills; it also calls for a variety of creative ideas. The workshop is designed to stimulate children’s creativity and allow them to immediately implement and test their ideas. It also aims to introduce participants to deep learning—a fundamental mechanism of AI—and spark their interest in the field.
By helping children understand the inner workings of AI—which is becoming an increasingly integral part of our lives—and by allowing them to experience these mechanisms firsthand, we aim to help them move beyond a narrow focus on programming alone. Instead, we will help them build on that knowledge to develop skills in AI and contribute to raising a generation of children who can thrive alongside AI.
