- VR Education Project by Learning of Tomorrow and CANVAS
With the cooperation of the Itamiya Laboratory at Aichi Institute of Technology, a disaster prevention education class utilizing AR and VR was held for all grade levels at Nasu Town Nasu Junior High School.
This is part of a VR education project organized by Learning of Tomorrow and CANVAS.
A VR earthquake simulation and AR flood and smoke simulation experience based on disaster data. Content produced by the Itamiya Lab.
The class utilized 25 Oculus Go headsets. According to Professor Itamiya, “I don’t think there’s ever been a VR disaster preparedness education program anywhere in the world that has used this many Oculus Go headsets at once.”
Other initiatives are also underway, and the VR education project’s website is scheduled to launch soon.
