Produced by Toshio Tsuchiya—known as Department Head T—and presented by Yoshimoto Kogyo at COOL JAPAN PARK OSAKA, this is a groundbreaking new form of live entertainment.
Avatars of audience members—created instantly from full-body 3D scans—perform sharp, dynamic dance routines.
I never imagined the day would come when I’d be dancing right in the center of a giant screen!!!
The photo was taken by the MC, Ga~maruchoba, who took it upon himself to use my smartphone and snap tons of pictures of the audience during the show. Behind him is Chocolate Planet.
Including moments like that,
the performers and their avatars, along with the audience and their avatars, intertwine to create an interactive, participatory entertainment experience made by everyone present.
The boy in front was thrilled, and the elderly woman next to me was laughing hysterically. A woman stood there with her mouth agape as a man, totally into it, jumped on stage to put on a performance.
It’s truly NO BORDER.
You have to experience it for yourself to understand what it’s like to be immersed in this new form of expression! I highly recommend it!

    After graduating from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, he served as a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab before founding the NPO CANVAS and the Learning of Tomorrow Association, a General Incorporated Association, and assuming the role of representative. He serves as an outside director for Matsuya Co., Ltd., Fuji Media Holdings, Inc., and Digital Garage, Inc.
    He has served on various government committees, including the Information and Communications Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, as well as the NHK Central Broadcasting Program Council. He also serves as a director of the Digital Signage Consortium, among other roles. He holds a Ph.D. in Policy and Media.
    His publications include *Turning On Children’s Creativity!*, *What Are Smart Kids Doing on Their Smartphones?*, *The Forefront of Online Education in Japan: Considering Learning in the Post-COVID Era*,“What Is Programming Education? 45 Questions Parents Want to Know,” and “Declaration on Digital Education.” He has also provided supervision for numerous works, including “Ah, I See! Programming Education for Parents and Children Through Manga.”
