Talk Session on Developing People for a New Era

Today, I attended a symposium in Yamaguchi. I also participated in a discussion session with Governor Muraoka, Yamaguchi University President Oka, and the other speakers.
I shared my vision for making Chōshū “the world’s most advanced educational city.”
Chōshū Domain was known for
expanding educational opportunities even to lower-ranking samurai and the general populace,
and, thanks to its high educational standards and broad reach,
it has produced a multitude of talented individuals.
Shoin Yoshida, Shinsaku Takasugi, Kogoro Katsura—the list goes on and on.
It has also produced nine prime ministers, including Hirobumi Ito, Nobusuke Kishi, Eisaku Sato, and Shinzo Abe.
What an amazing prefecture.
How about making the name “Yamaguchi” known to the world once again as “Yamaguchi, the World’s Most Advanced Educational City”?
In that case, I’m more drawn to the name “Chōshū” than “Yamaguchi” (*^^*)

Things I’d love to do together:
・Hosting a Workshop Collection event
How about organizing a “Workshop Collection at Yamaguchi University” with the goal of creating a local community that continuously updates learning both inside and outside of schools?
・Launching Learning of Tomorrow in Yamaguchi
Why not establish infrastructure to promote cutting-edge education and bring together the strengths of the business community?
I have plans to drink Dassai sake later.
