Josef Rada

Hrušice,
the hometown of Josef Lada, the Czech national illustrator. It’s a peaceful village where the idyllic landscapes depicted in Lada’s picture books come to life. Lada’s illustrations can be found everywhere—on
signs and maps alike.
When I stepped into the pub that served as the model for his famous painting “A Bar Brawl,” I found an entire wall covered with Rada’s illustrations there as well.
I picked up copies of “JARO (Czech Spring)” and “LECO (Czech Summer).”
