Stargazing Tour @ AEL Yushima

[After-School Creative Project]

To enrich the after-school experiences of as many children as possible, we hold workshops at after-school centers designed to nurture children’s creativity and imagination.

On June 17, we held a “Starry Sky Exploration Tour” workshop at AEL Yushima.
This time, we had an experience where everyone thought about stars and constellations together and filled the room with a starry sky to enjoy a sense of the extraordinary.
① Stories about stars and constellations
② Creating light displays
③ Scattering stars throughout the room
④ Setting off on the Starry Sky Exploration Tour

When you hear the words “stars” and “constellations,” what comes to mind? What stars and constellations do you know?
The Scattered Constellation, the Wavy Constellation, the Cat Constellation, the ☆ Constellation, the Turtle Constellation, the Crazy Constellation…!
As the stars gathered, we discovered many wonderful new types of constellations!
We kicked things off with cheers of “Whoa!” the moment the room went dark and the stars sparkled to life—and then it was finally time to head out on our stargazing tour!

“If you sway back and forth, the stars get super big!”
“When I lit up the ☆ shape, it looked like a face.”
“The torn part is big, so it’s the moon!”

By repeating the experiment over and over and taking the time to focus on their creations, each participant made many discoveries.
It turned out to be a workshop that parents and children could all enjoy together!
