- Symposium Held to Mark the Establishment of Learning of Tomorrow
Thank you very much to everyone who attended yesterday’s symposium marking the establishment of Learning of Tomorrow.
I am deeply grateful to Chairman Hiroshi Komiyama (former President of the University of Tokyo) and Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Seiko Noda, who each spoke passionately for 10 minutes—far longer than the scheduled 5 minutes—to share their thoughts. Following remarks by Mr. Sumida, Director-General of the Intellectual Property Office, and Mr. Yama, Counselor at the IT Headquarters, followed by a keynote speech by Kaisei High School Principal Yanagisawa. We also received messages from Dave Spector, former Vice Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Toshihiko Sakurai, leading AI expert Professor Yutaka Matsuo, University of Tokyo Professor Emeritus Yuki Aoyama, Keio University Professor Jiro Kokuryo, and SoftBank President Miyauchi.
The discussions we held with Mr. Ataka from Yahoo!, President Sugiyama of Digital Hollywood, Professor Hiroshi Fujiwara of IAjapan, and Mr. Nakamura of DiTT were incredibly lively, and Komiyama’s signature style really shone through.
As the newly appointed Chairman of the Association, I provided an overview of the Learning of Tomorrow Association, while Takashi Yanase spoke about the Learning of Tomorrow Association in Fukuoka, scheduled to launch next month. According to the venue staff, this was the most lively event ever held at this venue.
That said, this is just the beginning.
We intend to bring together the wisdom of industry, government, and academia to take action.
We look forward to your continued support.
