On the 23rd of last month, the government approved a cabinet decision on amendments to the School Education Act and related laws that officially recognize “digital textbooks” as legitimate textbooks.
This is something our Council has consistently advocated for since our policy proposal in 2012, and it has finally come to fruition after six years.
It is deeply moving to be able to share this news with you in our commemorative 100th newsletter.

On the 12th, we will hold the second installment of our symposium, “Considering Education in the Age of AI,” so
we hope you will all join us. We look forward to seeing you there.

In this issue, along with a report on DiTT’s activities,
we will bring you the latest information on ICT education.
