Programming Education

What Is the Current State of Computer Science Education in the UK?

In the United Kingdom, “Computing” has been a required subject since 2014. This means that all British children have been learning to code in school since the age of five.
How did they address issues such as teacher training, curriculum development, and collaboration with external organizations?
In Japan, too, various initiatives are underway among government agencies, schools, and the private sector in preparation for making programming education mandatory starting in elementary school in 2020.
What is the current situation in the UK, three years after it became mandatory? We’re holding an urgent symposium to coincide with the temporary return to Japan of Mr. Ukai, who is studying computer science education while studying abroad in the UK.
We’ll be listening closely to what he has to say!
I’ll be serving as the moderator, but since I plan to keep Mr. Ukai with us until we run out of questions (lol), I’m also collecting questions you’d like to ask in advance.
Please feel free to submit your questions!

I’m really looking forward to seeing Mr. Ukai again after so long!!!
