Roundtable Discussion on Programming Education in Special Education

Thank you very much to everyone who participated in the “Roundtable Discussion on Programming Education in Special Needs Education.”
We had originally planned to hold a roundtable for about 40 people, but due to the high number of registrations, the event grew to include approximately 100 participants.
On the day of the event, we were delighted to welcome participants involved in special needs education from all over the country—including Okinawa, Nagano, Toyama, Gunma, and many other regions—who made the trip to join us,
as well as representatives from the Cabinet Office, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).
Thank you very much.
You can view the presentation materials here.

Starting this fiscal year, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications’ “Programming Education Project for Special Needs Schools and Classes” will also begin. I hope the insights shared at this roundtable will be put to good use.
Professor Ebisawa remarked, “This was probably the first large-scale event focused on programming that brought together professionals involved in special needs education, wasn’t it?” I hope we can continue to create opportunities for sharing insights like this.
