- U-22 Programming Contest 2017: Preliminary Round Results Announced; Open to the Public for the Final Judging Session!
The U-22 Programming Contest 2017, for which I serve as a judge, closed on Thursday,
August 24, with a record-high number of entries (334 entries / 1,236 participants).
In addition, the finals of the U-22 Programming Contest 2017 will be held on Sunday, October 1.
During the final round, each contestant will give a presentation in front of the judging panel and the audience to showcase
their work.
With programming education set to become mandatory in elementary schools by 2020,
interest in “programming” is on the rise—and it’s possible that a star capable of driving innovation from Japan will emerge
from among these participants.
Please visit the official website for details on the 40 works that have advanced to the first round of judging,
as well as for information on how to apply to attend the final judging session.
