To Members of the Press

Thank you for your continued support.

CANVAS, a specified nonprofit corporation, is co-hosting with Gooday Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fukuoka) the
“Workshop Collection Mini in Fukuoka 2017,” a workshop expo for children, which was first held in Fukuoka last August and drew approximately 18,000 visitors over two days. We are pleased to announce that we will be holding this event again this year.

Workshop Collection began in Tokyo in 2004 as the world’s first event dedicated exclusively to children’s workshops, offering a diverse range of programs in areas such as arts and crafts, painting, science, and video.Its goal is to promote and develop creative workshops nationwide that stimulate children’s creativity and expressive abilities.
The event has been held in Fukuoka since last year, with approximately 35 exhibitors offering a variety of workshops;
many children—from preschoolers to elementary school students—had a wonderful time playing and learning through these workshops.

This year’s event will be held at FUKUOKA growth next, located on the site of the former Fukuoka Municipal Daimyo Elementary School.

We understand you are very busy, but we hope you will appreciate the purpose of this event, which aims to promote and raise awareness of a new learning environment that emphasizes hands-on workshop experiences,
We would greatly appreciate it if you could help publicize the event through your media outlets and cover it on the day of the event.
Thank you for your cooperation.
If your media outlet plans to cover the event, we would appreciate it if you could take a moment to notify us.
Thank you.
