Nikkei BP’s “ITpro” featured an article about the “Programming for ALL Project Report Session” held on March 23.
“Programming for ALL” is a project we are advancing in collaboration with Microsoft to promote programming education among children living in remote areas, children with disabilities, and girls in elementary, junior high, and high school.
Last fiscal year, we focused on developing a model to reach children who have had few opportunities to experience programming.

Yvonne Thomas, Global Lead for Microsoft Corporation’s “YouthSpark” program, spoke about global initiatives to support ICT education, and CANVAS presented a report on the “Programming for ALL” project.
We also received detailed reports from our partner, Mr. Kage at the Tokyo Metropolitan Komyo Special Needs School, who introduced the lessons he has implemented, as well as from Mr. Hoshino of the Nasushiobara Creative Lab in Tochigi Prefecture, who shared his efforts as a local volunteer.
