DiTT Symposium

Tomorrow, we will also hold the DiTT Symposium as part of the KMD Forum.
Coordinated by Tomo Ishizawa of JustSystems,
we will feature presentations by Mr. Hiroyuki Takase of Matsudo Municipal Second Junior High School, Mr. Wataru Tanigawa of Kodaira Municipal Kodaira Seventh Elementary School,
Mr. Mitsuaki Nishida of Kashiwa Municipal Kashiwa Second Elementary School, and Ms. Mayumi Yamaguchi of Saitama Municipal Shichiri Elementary School,
to participate in a panel discussion titled “ICT Utilization and Lesson Planning: Looking Ahead to the New Curriculum Guidelines.”

We have already received nearly 200 registrations, but since last-minute cancellations are possible,
please feel free to join us if you can.

In addition, we will welcome Mr. Toshiaki Endo, Member of the House of Representatives and Chair of the Parliamentary League for the Promotion of ICT in Education, to discuss the future direction and outlook of the Digital Textbook and Teaching Materials Council (DiTT) as it seeks to strengthen its collaboration with the government, the Diet, local governments, schools, and businesses more than ever before, and to become a leading organization in promoting the digitization of education.

    After graduating from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, he served as a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab before founding the NPO CANVAS and the Learning of Tomorrow Association, a General Incorporated Association, and assuming the role of representative. He serves as an outside director for Matsuya Co., Ltd., Fuji Media Holdings, Inc., and Digital Garage, Inc.
    He has served on various government committees, including the Information and Communications Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, as well as the NHK Central Broadcasting Program Council. He also serves as a director of the Digital Signage Consortium, among other roles. He holds a Ph.D. in Policy and Media.
    His publications include *Turning On Children’s Creativity!*, *What Are Smart Kids Doing on Their Smartphones?*, *The Forefront of Online Education in Japan: Considering Learning in the Post-COVID Era*,“What Is Programming Education? 45 Questions Parents Want to Know,” and “Declaration on Digital Education.” He has also provided supervision for numerous works, including “Ah, I See! Programming Education for Parents and Children Through Manga.”
