- Kouan Nishi Elementary School in Mashiki Town, Kumamoto Prefecture
From a CANVAS Facebook post
*******************************************
Yesterday, we held a
Minecraft workshop at Kōan Nishi Elementary School in Mashiki Town, Kumamoto Prefecture.
I created original Minecraft worlds based on the themes of “shops” and “jobs.” These include an underground
zoo, a bookstore with walls packed full of books,
an amusement park full of mazes, and a takoyaki food stall.
During the workshop, the participants created projects filled with the things they love and the things they want to do.
Each town even featured a version of Kumamoto Castle built in Minecraft. They planted flowers around
the castle, built walking paths,
and each group created a town brimming with creative ideas!
*As part of the Microsoft × CANVAS Youthspark project,
we are hosting this event in collaboration with the Revive Kumamoto and HITO Project organizations in Kumamoto Prefecture.
We plan to continue our activities in Kumamoto Prefecture!
