Good Design Award: My Top Pick—KOOV

For the Good Design Award’s “My Favorite Product of 2016” category,
I submitted a recommendation for KOOV.

By combining blocks with motors and sensors,
and transferring the movements programmed on a tablet, you can create a moving toy.
By building things and programming,
children naturally develop STEM skills—often referred to as 21st-century skills.
Furthermore, the objects created by combining transparent, seven-colored blocks
are beautiful because their transparency allows multiple colors to blend, creating depth.
The two “O”s in the center of KOOV symbolize infinity.
I can’t wait to see what kinds of ideas children will come up with and bring to life.
I feel an infinite sense of possibility.
