[After-School Creative Project]
To enrich the after-school experiences of many children,
we conduct workshops at after-school facilities designed to nurture children’s creativity and imagination.
On Saturday, September 17, we held the “Singing Microphone” workshop at an after-school club in Kita Ward.
“Sound is something we use to communicate so that the other person can hear us clearly.”
This was one of the comments shared by a participant during the workshop.
At the beginning of the workshop, we all took some time to think about the various “sounds” we hear in our daily lives.
How does sound travel?
How does the sound change when we switch the source?
The first half of the session consisted of experiments. We used two different types of telephones to compare how sound travels.
The second half was dedicated to making “Singing Microphones.”
After finishing the project, we experienced firsthand how our own voices and those of our friends sounded and resonated through the microphones.
Whether you’re talking, singing, or playing “Telephone,” you can have fun whether you’re alone, with a friend, or in a large group! These original microphones—
which let you discover your own unique ways to use and play with them, such as giving the gift of a voice filled with emotion—might just become one of the items that brightens up this fall.
