- [Press Release] Workshop Collection to Be Held at Sendai Trust City!
****************************************************************************************
Workshop Collection in Sendai Trust City Confirmed!
*****************************************************************************************
To Members of the Press
Thank you very much for your continued support.
We at the NPO CANVAS will be hosting the “Workshop Collection”—an exhibition of creative workshop programs for children designed to stimulate creativity and self-expression—in Sendai this November.
The Workshop Collection is an exhibition event that brings together“workshops” for children, located throughout the country, to one place and introduce them broadly to the general public.
While the event was previously held only in the Kanto region, this year—in August—we held our first “Workshop Collection” events outside the Kanto region in Fukuoka and Niigata. Despite being the inaugural event in Fukuoka, it attracted 18,000 visitors over two days.
As the third installment of our nationwide expansion effort to provide children across the country with a wide range of hands-on learning opportunities,
we will also be holding the event in Sendai.
For the Sendai event in November, we will use Sendai Trust City as our venue and collaborate with tenant companies,
retail stores, and The Westin Sendai Hotel to offer
, hands-on programs for children where they can learn while having fun.
Furthermore, in response to the Heisei 28 Kumamoto Earthquake that occurred in April, and in light of the growing sentiment in Sendai that “it is now our turn to support,” we will use this event to collect donations and convey the sentiments of the Tohoku region to those affected by the disaster.By serving as a bridge between the people of Tohoku's
support and the areas affected by the Kumamoto Earthquake, we aim to contribute to society.
We understand you are very busy, but we hope you will understand the purpose of this event, which aims to promote
and raise awareness of a new learning environment that emphasizes hands-on workshops,
and we sincerely hope you will help publicize the event through your media outlets and cover it on the day of the event.
We would appreciate your cooperation.
If your media outlet plans to cover the event, we would be grateful if you could
let us know.
