[July 28 (Thu): We Participated in Children’s Kasumigaseki Open House Day!]
On Thursday, July 28, we participated in
“Children’s Kasumigaseki Open House Day,” a special event held during summer vacation where government ministries and agencies open their doors to the public and host various workshops and events!

This time, we held a programming workshop as part of the “Realizing the Future IT Classroom,
” a program planned and operated by CANVAS and Itochu Techno-Solutions Corporation.
The workshop program was “Interactive Stories,” where participants created interactive stories. They created a variety of experiential works, such as moving
the main character themselves and overcoming obstacles!
Using “Pyonkey,” a block-based programming environment based on Scratch for the iPad, the participants created their own interactive stories!

From stories about the number 0 navigating around obstacles to reach the number 1 to stories where the
path is a maze, a variety of projects were created in a short amount of time, and the presentation event was a huge success!! At the
Future Realization IT Classroom, we use tablets and other devices to implement a curriculum that encourages students to explore the various technologies and mechanisms in everyday life through programming, as well as to identify and solve
problems.

Stay tuned for our future activities!
