- Panel Discussion on Programming Education @ Microsoft
I'm at Microsoft in Seattle. I'm participating in a discussion on programming education.
I'm on a panel with Neil, who helped develop the National Curriculum for Computing in the UK; Mary, the global CEO of CoderDojo; and Alepha, who is working to address the digital divide in education in Mexico.
While having lunch and listening to a talk about the introduction of programming education in the UK, I heard someone say that Japan is the one to envy!!!
The reason was, “Japan has four whole years until 2020, when programming is set to be introduced, but the UK only had 18 months to prepare.”
