[Call for Participants] “MESH” Talk Session & Hands-On Workshop

We’re hosting a talk session and hands-on workshop for the digital maker tool “MESH”!

For this event, we’ve invited members of Sony’s MESH development team to share stories unique to the development team during a talk session—including the development concept, behind-the-scenes stories, tips for running workshops, and examples of projects from parent-child workshops.
We’ve also set aside time for a mini-workshop where you can try out MESH for yourself.

This event is open to a wide range of participants—from parents to working professionals and students—including those interested in children’s workshops or the arts, as well as anyone who wants to try creating their own workshops.

MESH is a set of seven tools that lets you easily create little “wouldn’t it be nice if…” mechanisms for everyday life, depending on your ideas and creativity. In addition to the four core components—the “Button Tag,” “LED Tag,” “Move Tag” (motion sensor), and “GPIO Tag” (analog and digital input/output switch)—you’ll also have the chance to try out the “Brightness Tag,” “Temperature & Humidity Tag,” and “Motion Tag” (which detects human movement), all of which were newly released in November.

Why not come try out these tools for yourself? They’re attracting attention for offering a “new way to create” that appeals to a wide range of people, from children to adults.

The event will be held on Tuesday, March 8, at the CANVAS office, located near Taharamachi Station on the Ginza Line.
We look forward to hearing from anyone whose schedule and interests align with this event.
