On the first night in Bangkok, there was a house party at the home of one of the organizers of Constructionism 2016.
Even though it was called a house party, there were 300 guests!
It wasn’t just a mansion—it was like a palace… I was blown away.
On the second night, I had noodles at the university cafeteria food stall!!!
They were rich and delicious for about 100 yen… but I got bitten by a mosquito and now I'm itchy.
On the evening of the third day, Mr. Onaga from the Japanese Embassy in Thailand took us to a Thai restaurant he recommended.
I even got to ride a tuk-tuk, which I’d been wanting to do for ages!
And for some reason I don’t quite understand, I ended up attending a reception party hosted by Saga Prefecture and the Kingdom of Thailand. After enjoying some Saga beef—which I was told had been shipped all the way from Saga, a distance of 40 kilometers—with Mayor Komatsu and Ms. Onaga, I boarded my flight.
It was a rather unusual trip, but I’m very satisfied because I gained a lot of insights and ideas—both at Constructionism 2016 and at the several museums I visited afterward.
Thank you all for your hospitality. Thank you very much!
