[After-School Creative Project]
On Friday, November 6, we held a workshop at an after-school club in Taito Ward!
With the hope of “bringing the workshops created by our workshop creators to as many children as possible,” we’re also offering the programs they’ve developed at after-school facilities.
This workshop featured the “Balance Sculpture” program provided by the Fukasawa Art Institute.

Baran, which is used as a divider in bento boxes. We made this familiar material—whose name we learned for the
first time—and created various shapes with it.

Dinosaurs that look like ground drawings—you can only really see them when you stand up and look down from high above. There’s
adult Balan and little Balan-chan.
A roller coaster, a tunnel, a park…
“If you flip it upside down, it looks like an octopus!”
“There’s a swing here, and a pond over there…” As you create
shapes, your very own story begins to unfold.

The photos show some of the creative ideas the children worked so hard on.
