- Programming Learning Project
CANVAS and Salesforce.com are launching a programming learning project!
We will provide programming learning opportunities to a diverse range of children, primarily in schools and public facilities. As our
first initiative, we are launching a program in partnership with Sumida Ward!
We will carry out activities in collaboration with elementary schools, libraries, and children’s events.
The other day, we held a workshop at the computer club at Sumida Elementary School in Sumida Ward.
From now on, we will participate in every session and implement a variety of activities based on the children’s reactions and their interests.
The first session featured a programming experience using Hour of Code. The participants worked through 20 stages of
gradually increasing difficulty, consulting with friends along the way and asking adults for help when they got stuck.
As the problems became more challenging, it was natural to see them sharing the solutions they’d come up with on their own with their friends and teaching one another, and cheers erupted every time they cleared a stage.
Many programmers from Salesforce also participated, and it was a valuable experience for the children to interact with adults they don't usually have the chance to meet.
We’ll continue to report on these activities here on PEG as well!
