[Kids-Only Museum Daikanyama]
On October 17, we held the Kids-Only Museum Daikanyama event!
The Kids-Only Museum is a time for children to freely create using the materials and tools available at the venue.
Using materials and tools, combining them in different ways… Some children even had a sudden inspiration—just by looking at the materials—to create something like this!
As they worked, their creations underwent various transformations. Here are some of the pieces created
during this museum event.
The child who created a plane that takes three hours to reach Hokkaido explained, “It takes a long time so we can spend quality time as a family!
” At first, the flight to Hokkaido took only an hour, but that’s why the travel time ended up getting longer. Some children found it so entertaining to watch the
green ribbon roll and spread across the floor that they kept doing it
for a long time. When the ribbon got caught, they’d say, “Huh? Why?” and pull at it or tug it closer… Once it came loose, they’d scatter
the ribbon all over again.
After that, their interest shifted to something else, and they moved on to building.
Even if nothing tangible remains, the museum values these moments of discovery when children think, “This is kind of fun.”
The next "Kids-Only Museum" events will be held at the
Nishi-Azabu venue on Sunday, November 1, and at the Daikanyama venue on Saturday, November 14. We will continue to add new
materials and tools as we go.
We look forward to seeing you there!
