This was the second edition of the Raspberry Pi contest hosted by Nikkei Linux and Nikkei Software.
The head judge was Professor Kazuhiro Abe, who also provides supervision for PEG.
This year, the contest was even more impressive, featuring judges from the Raspberry Pi Foundation and model Nicole Fujita.
CANVAS was also pleased to support the event as a sponsor!
The Grand Prize for this year’s winning entries went to “A Device Capable of Long-Exposure Photography of Celestial Bodies”!
We’re thrilled that PEG partners and children who participated in CANVAS’s programming workshops were among the winners!
Looking at the winning entries, there are over 30 projects spanning various genres and themes—including finished products and ideas—such as a device that alerts you when your pet needs to relieve itself, a river water clarity monitoring device, and a portable fan with a central stand.
An awards ceremony will be held at the main theater of “ITpro Expo 2015,” organized by Nikkei BP (October 2, 2015, 3:00–3:30 p.m., Tokyo Big Sight).
