Yesterday, I attended the 40th Public Symposium of the Technical Education Research Society, titled “Connecting Technical Learning,” held at Kogakuin University.

A total of 100 current elementary, middle, and high school teachers and students gathered, filling the venue with incredible energy!
The event featured demonstrations of teaching materials they use in their daily work, presentations on actual classroom practices, and panel discussions.

The main theme of the practical presentations and panel discussions was “Learning Technology to Connect with Society.” It provided an opportunity to learn about a wide range of practical approaches, including
intellectual property education, the process of creating works that take users into account rather than simply focusing on production, and the development of lessons in collaboration with local governments and businesses.

In addition, the discussion touched on issues such as school assessment and challenges related to lesson planning—topics that teachers value highly in their daily work.

It was also a joy to reconnect with many of the teachers who participated in the “Teacher Gathering” held at Obirin Junior High School.
We’ll continue to gain practical experience and deepen our knowledge so that we can continue to collaborate with you on various projects in the future!
