The Toshima Training Center’s Raspberry Pi workshop has begun again this year at the Seibi Education and Culture Hall.
From May through July, participants will take on the challenge of creating games using the Raspberry Pi’s GPIO in a series of three workshops!

Today was our first session.
We took a close look at the equipment used with the Raspberry Pi and booted it up. We practiced the basics of Scratch and worked on making a game.

Every time they programmed in Scratch, the room would buzz with excitement, and the kids would be running back and forth between their seats.
During free time, in particular, everyone would gather around one child, asking, “Wait, how did you do that?” Whether they were
already friends or not, the kids were able to become friends through making games.

I hear that after the three-session course ends this year, they plan to offer a course with even more advanced content.
I’m really looking forward to seeing what kind of works will be created this year!
