“Workshop Collection Vol. 11” Is Coming!

"Workshop Collection Vol. 11," an expo featuring creative workshop programs for children designed to stimulate their creativity and expressiveness, is set to take place on Saturday, August 29, and Sunday, August 30, 2015!
The main venue for this event is an office building in Shibuya Ward that has been slated for demolition. This event is made possible thanks to the generous provision of the entire building, which is owned by
Tokyu Land Corporation and others.
The entire space—including the walls, floors, and ceilings—will be open to children, and a variety of workshop programs will take place.

At the same time, satellite venues will be set up throughout the entire “Shibuya” area, expanding the event’s reach across the entire district.
Shibuya—which continues to evolve day by day and reveal new charms as it looks toward 2020 and beyond—will transform into a “creative space for children” for two days only.

We’ve started accepting applications from exhibitors today, so please apply!
This time, we’re especially looking for unique concepts that take advantage of the fact that this building is scheduled for demolition.

The event two sessions ago attracted 100,000 visitors.
The previous event, held at Aoyama Gakuin University, featured more than 100 different workshop
programs. For this event, we are once again seeking a variety of workshop programs that stimulate children’s
creativity and self-expression.

The main venue for this event is an office building in the ward that has been slated for demolition. This event was made possible thanks to the generous offer to make the entire building—owned by
Tokyu Real Estate Co., Ltd. and others—available to us.
The entire space, including the walls, floors, and ceilings, will be open to the children, and a variety of
workshops and programs will take place there.

At the same time, satellite venues will be set up throughout “Shibuya,” expanding the event across
the entire area. Shibuya—which is constantly evolving and revealing new charms as it looks
toward 2020 and beyond—will transform into a “creative space for children” for two days only
.

We are currently accepting open applications for “Workshop Exhibitors” for
the 11th Workshop Collection.

To date, a wide variety of organizations and individuals—
including companies, schools, universities, museums, researchers and engineers,
artists and creators, and others involved in educational activities—have hosted workshops that have captivated countless children. The event brings together cutting-edge workshops spanning a
broad range of fields, such as
sculpture, painting, science, film, the environment, digital media, and music.

We look forward to receiving your applications for engaging workshops that stimulate
children’s creativity and expressive abilities!
