<Raspberry Pi Workshop @ Nakahara Hachinosuke Club>
Yesterday, Wednesday, March 11, we held a Raspberry Pi workshop for parents at the Nakahara Hachinosuke Club.

The Nakahara Hachinosuke Club holds a Raspberry Pi workshop once a year in November.
We also host a PC class called “Everyone’s PC” about 10 times a year, featuring workshops that use Squeak and Scratch.
Supervision is provided by Mr. Abe, who has been involved as an instructor for a long time.

Starting next school year, we will make ongoing use of the Raspberry Pi and offer a loan program so that children can continue their projects at home.
To that end, we invited parents to experience firsthand what the Raspberry Pi is capable of.

“What is programming like?” “Does the Raspberry Pi actually become a computer?” “Scratch is so easy to use!”
A parent who helped out at the last workshop said, “The kids were working through it so smoothly, but I realized they were doing things that were way more impressive than I expected.”

Rather than just studying programming, we’ll explore how to bring ideas to life through the process of creating with programming.
I wonder what kinds of projects will emerge next year?
Please stay tuned for future activities from the Nakahara Hachinosuke Club.
