amu party

Last night was the amu party.
We received applications from 300 people—far exceeding amu’s capacity—so
we made a last-minute decision to hold the event over two consecutive days.
The venue was quite crowded, and while there were likely many shortcomings,
we’d like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended.

Amid all the chaos, I wasn’t able to explain it properly, but
amu is a two-story creative space designed by architect Hiroshi Hara, inspired by the concept of “architecture in the forest.”
Since this party was held in the evening, I suspect you may not have been able to fully appreciate it, but
the building features trees arranged to envelop it and light streaming through a large skylight that changes with the time of day and weather, creating a structure that reveals a variety of different expressions.
We were delighted to have so many people join us, though it’s a shame we weren’t able to speak with each of you at length.
However, amu plans to continue hosting a variety of events, workshops, exhibitions, parties, and salons,
so we hope to see you again.
We look forward to your continued support of amu!
