Today, I visited the Information, Science, and Mathematics Department at Chiba Prefectural Kashiwanoha High School to speak with students who were eager to use Raspberry Pi.
When I showed them projects created by elementary school students through PEG and Programming Lab, everyone seemed amazed by the quality of the work.
However, not to be outdone, the high school students also came up with a variety of ideas.
I’m told that about 20 first- and second-year students from the Information, Science, and Mathematics Department who are interested will now begin working on projects using Raspberry Pi in preparation for an in-school presentation in March.
Ideas like a DJ setup using touch sensors?! A system for remotely controlling home appliances?! And more—it seems a wide variety of ideas are already taking shape.
I’m really looking forward to seeing what they come up with!
