[Report] Ryogoku Atelier BAUHAUS

From a CANVAS Facebook post

[What Kind of Things Would Be Nice to Have!?]
On Saturday, January 24, we held the Kids Creative Lab at Atelier BAUHAUS in Ryogoku.
The theme was “What If…?”
The preschool class made “dream ice cream,” while
the elementary school class drew “spontaneous sketches.”

I had
all sorts of flashes of inspiration—like a *Wish Book* that reveals the answer when you open it while wondering, “I wonder what this is?”; a *Kakomライト* that shows past or future scenes when held up to an
object;
and even a utility pole that talks to you.

“What if” is a phrase we use to describe things that seem almost impossible, but
cars, computers, airplanes, phones, maps… I think the things we have today were once someone’s “what if” in their time.
I hope you’ll take this opportunity—and not just now—to come up with as many “what ifs” as possible, since they are the seeds of creativity.
