[Report] A Museum Just for Kids

From a CANVAS Facebook post

[Kids Creative Lab in Nishi-Azabu]
On Sunday, January 11, we held the “Kids-Only Museum.” At the
“Kids-Only Museum,” we provide the materials children need to create their own projects.

Among these, cellophane tape is the easiest for the children to use. When I see their
artwork, I’m always amazed by the creative ways they use it to stick things together.

It’s difficult to bond different materials—like wood, fabric, and plastic—but I was amazed by how perfectly they’d been joined. Even
thin sticks can be bonded together by applying tape from various angles.

Aiming to create their very own unique pistol shapes, the children experimented
with different ways to secure the pieces to ensure their
characters stood in perfect balance. They placed even smaller servings of curry and rice on tiny tables and,
without relying on adults, tried attaching the pieces themselves. After checking
how well they stuck together and layering
them further to ensure a secure fit, they once again created many wonderful works of art.
