[Report] Koni’s Mysterious Box Theater Workshop

From a CANVAS Facebook post

*******************************************

[December 23 (Tue., Holiday) Koni's Mysterious Box Theater Workshop @ Digital Ehon Museum]

Get a little taste of what goes on behind the scenes of anime production!
We created a "Mysterious Box Theater" featuring Koni, who dances and moves.

Koni's animations have a unique warmth that can't be fully captured by CG alone, and the secret lies in the fact that the backgrounds feature handcrafted miniatures. (Currently on display at Conifes!)

Professional creator Mr. Ando from the video production company ROBOT will appear as a special guest, and as we listen to his stories, we’ll tour the exhibition to see the miniatures actually used in anime.

After seeing the real models and letting their imaginations run wild, the children worked together with their parents to gradually create their very own box theaters (background miniatures). Now it’s time to invite Koni.
“How is Koni going to come?” “Maybe through this gap?” they asked, their hearts pounding with excitement.

The moment I held up my smartphone, her eyes began to sparkle.
She peered at it intently, over and over again.

I hope you found this talk by a professional inspiring and that it gave you plenty of ideas.
I hope you’ll show off your creative box theater to lots of people.
