Kagoshima GATHERING!

This weekend, PEG is in Kagoshima!
Starting today and continuing for the next two days, we’re teaming up with the Kagoshima Internet Promotion Council to hold a Raspberry Pi training session and a workshop for kids.
Today’s training session was attended by school teachers interested in programming education for children, as well as local programmers and business representatives. Participants came not only from
Kagoshima but also from across Kyushu.
The first day was dedicated to the training session. On the second day, together with the training participants, we’re holding a workshop for children!
Over the course of three hours, we’ll be building game controllers using Raspberry Pi.

The session was conducted with separate “listening areas” and “work areas.” Key points—such as how to save
a game—were covered in the “listening area” at the front of the room so participants could listen carefully. We had a group of energetic kids who applied in numbers several times
the capacity! I’m excited to see
what kinds of projects they’ll create. Members of the
Kagoshima Internet Media Council plan to continue holding a series of workshops using Raspberry Pi.
The second workshop is scheduled to take place as early as this month. It looks like workshops for children will be held by

他にも, as well as by school teachers and programmers who participated in the training sessions.
Please stay tuned for further developments in programming education in Kagoshima!
