Yamanashi GATHERING!
Today, as
part of the Yamanashi Eiwa University 125th Anniversary Celebration, we’re hosting an event under the theme “Creating the Future of Programming Education”!
Part 1 features a lecture by Professor Abe, the event’s supervisor, and Part 2 will be a children’s workshop led by Professor Sugiura of Yamanashi Eiwa University.

Yamanashi Eiwa University is a very pleasant campus surrounded by lush nature. The
weather was wonderful, and the GATHERING event took place in Kofu this fall, just as the autumn foliage was beginning to show its colors.

In Part 1, the lecture by Professor Abe included a reflection session with the participants during the second half. We received various questions and comments from
parents and representatives of education-related organizations, all based on real-world practical scenarios.
“How do we address differences in the children’s skill levels?”
“How do we create an environment that makes them want to participate?”
“How do we handle children who don’t seem interested? How do we help them discover their interests?”
“How do we spark their interest!?”—there are so many questions on everyone’s mind!
