<Junior High and High School Students Explore Akihabara’s Electronics District!> At the “Sekiguchi Seminar” at Meisho Gakuen Jutoku Junior and Senior High School—a PEG partner in
Gunma Prefecture—all 30 students from 9th through 11th grade are conducting research activities in the seminar using Raspberry Pi.
Yesterday, the members of the Sekiguchi Seminar explored Akihabara’s Electronics District! As part of their seminar training, they visited various stores in the district.
Although they were overwhelmed by the vast array of electronic components and PC accessories in Akihabara, they picked up items to examine them firsthand and strolled through the electronics district while chatting with Mr. Sekiguchi.
Seeing firsthand in the stores what kinds of equipment can be combined with the Raspberry Pi and what kinds of things can be done with it likely planted the seeds for new ideas for their projects starting in the second semester.
A seminar presentation will also be held in March.
It seems everyone has a clear idea of what they want to try, such as “Creating an RPG through Programming” and “Web Design.” I’m looking forward to seeing
what kinds of projects they’ll come up with.
