[Kids Creative Lab in Ryogoku: Atelier BAUHAUS]
We held an Atelier BAUHAUS session on Saturday, July 19.
The theme was clay.
“Let’s get to know the materials: circles, triangles, and squares
. Do the shapes we
imagine all look the same!?”
The preschoolers were given prompts involving shapes—such as circles, triangles, and long shapes—and colors, with the goal of enjoying the differences even while aiming for the same result.
The elementary school students carefully observed objects at BAUHAUS, created replicas of them, and played hide-and-seek with them.
Everyone’s creative ideas and ingenious hiding spots were wonderful.
○ Regarding the theme: Starting with the materials in their
toolboxes and pencil cases,
moving on to items in the art room,
and then to materials they have never used before, we will gradually give the children greater freedom to explore the theme—from actions to concepts.
