At the previous event, held at Keio University’s Hiyoshi Campus,
we offered approximately 100 different workshop programs and attracted 100,000 visitors.
Furthermore, in fiscal year 2013, the event received the Good Design Award and was selected for the Good Design Best 100, among other honors,
and received high praise from various quarters as “a system for promoting children’s creative and expressive activities nationwide”
and “the world’s largest children’s creative event.”
For this milestone 10th edition, the event features not only more than 100 types of workshop programs, but also a packed lineup of diverse special programs to liven up the venue.
★“Noji’s Inspiration Workshop” (a familiar program on NHK E-Tele) × “Workshop Collection”
A special program for parents and children to participate in together
★A special workshop where children will decorate the “Children’s Tree” (created by artist Taro Okamoto), a symbol of Aoyama, and its surrounding space
★“Discovering the Future of Shibuya Tour,” where parents and children explore and experience the vast underground space in front of Shibuya Station
★Parent-child workshops and lectures for adults presented by PEG (Programming Education Gathering), a project promoted by CANVAS to spread programming education,
PEG (Programming Education Gathering)
★The world’s first international book fair
“International Digital Ehon Fair ~Digital Children’s Book Fair~”
★“Hands-On Creation Stadium,” which conveys the joy of making things and science to children
Furthermore, to promote greater nationwide awareness and development in this field,
as an annual festival supporting children’s “creativity,”
we have designated the event dates (August 29–30) as “Creative Kids Day,” and
we are working to connect workshops and events—spaces for creativity—held across the country to foster further growth.
We understand you are very busy, but we hope you will understand the purpose of this event, which aims to promote and raise awareness of this new learning environment that emphasizes the hands-on experience of workshops, and we would greatly appreciate it if you could announce the event through your media outlets and cover it on the day of the event. We look forward to your cooperation.
If your media outlet is able to cover this event, we would appreciate it if you could take the time to notify us.
