- [Report] Programming Lab in Akasaka
From a CANVAS Facebook post
*******************************************
Yesterday, Saturday, June 14, we held the Programming Lab in Akasaka.
This is one of the advanced courses in our Programming Lab series, where participants set their own themes and take on the challenge of programming. Each student uses a
Raspberry Pi—a business-card-sized computer with exposed circuitry—as their own personal computer.
This time, in addition to the hands-on projects, we also held an interim presentation at the end so everyone could share what they’re currently working on!From figuring out how to manage the cluttered wiring needed to make a
lunar rover run, to using
Scratch to automatically build a mansion in Minecraft, to experimenting with different
tire shapes and sizes to make a car drive more smoothly—participants confidently presented their current projects and future plans to the group while showing off their
creations. There were some glitches where a machine they’d
just built suddenly stopped working, but they identified the cause on the spot, fixed it, and when we saw the machine start moving again, we were amazed by their creativity and problem-solving skills!
Next week, it's finally time for the Programming Lab in Roppongi × GREE
. I'm looking forward to seeing what surprises this event has in store!
