February 21, 2013 News of Kenji
Iino’s passing.
I kept
telling myself, “This can’t be true, this can’t be true,” but when the news article came out, I couldn’t stop crying.
Just last year, at the ILCA (Innovation, Learning, Creativity, and Arts) launch event on December 16, he spoke at length about how from now on he was truly going to create
the things he wanted to create, and how he was going to build
a new learning environment where children could talk about a bright future.
He even told me, “Let’s do a workshop together next year.”
