Establishment of “Learning of Tomorrow”

We will establish an organization called “Learning of Tomorrow”.
A lack of IT and AI personnel is becoming an increasingly serious problem, even though digital education and programming education will become mandatory even in elementary schools. This organization is to cultivate a framework of private-sector partnership of education and technology, which includes relearning and recurrent education for preschoolers to adults.
The organization will promote research, awareness, policy recommendations of technology and education including IT human resource development policy, implementation policies of AI, big data and block chain in education. The organization will design education for the next generation.
The concept germinated in a discussion with several industry organizations, but I am surprised and honored that so many business associations and industry organizations from IT, software and content voiced their support.

The below is the outline of “Learning of Tomorrow”.



Learning of Tomorrow

■ Goals
Build a system of private-sector partnerships to advance research, awareness and policy around IT and related technology and education, including the introduction of IT human resource development policy and education on advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data and blockchains.
Offer new learning opportunities to all members of society from preschool children to working adults.

■ Areas of Focus
• Future education design (proposal and creation of future-oriented learning environments)
• Promotion of the educational use of advanced technologies (artificial intelligence, virtual reality/augmented reality, blockchains etc.)
• Promotion of ICT education (promotion of CS/ICT education including computer programming etc.)
• Support for the development of private-sector digital education (EdTech), etc.

■ Organizational Structure
• Membership consists of associations and nonprofit organizations in the IT and education industries.
• A council board will be established centered around “CS for All” programming education portal advisors.
• Membership is free of charge and interested companies/organizations are encouraged to participate.
