- Celebrating the 200th Learning of Tomorrow Online Symposium
This week's Learning of Tomorrow Online Symposium is the last one of the year.
And—can you believe it?—it’s our 200th episode!
On May 20, 2020, we started this during our lunch break, hoping that online education would make even a little progress amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Even after the pandemic, we’ve kept it going because hundreds of people still tune in live every time, and before we knew it, we’d reached our 200th episode.
The total number of participants was 60,000 (63,668, to be exact).
Thank you very much to all the speakers who have presented so far, and to everyone watching.
Now, tomorrow’s topic is “The Use of AI in Elementary and Secondary Education: Insights from Practical Applications in English Education.”
We are pleased to welcome Mr. Norio Nakamura, Executive Director (Academic Affairs) at Nagasaki University, a National University Corporation, and Ms. Ayako Saito of Deloitte Tohmatsu LLC.
AI technologies in the field of education—particularly generative AI—are transforming the way learning and teaching take place in the classroom.
This symposium will provide an overview of trends in the use of AI in elementary and secondary education. In addition, experts involved in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s “Project to Strengthen English Education through the Use of AI”—who are also conducting practical research on the use of AI in English education—will discuss practical examples, challenges, and future possibilities in the field, using the application of AI in English education as a case study.
We hope you'll join us again this week.
