Learning of Tomorrow Salon

The annual Learning of Tomorrow Salon.

Thank you so much to everyone who participated.

Some people even traveled from quite far away to attend, and as they were leaving, they kept telling me things like, “We had some really great discussions,” “This event was definitely worth the trip,” and “I’ll definitely be back next time.” That made me happier than anything.

We will continue to make preparations to ensure that future sessions are fruitful and valuable for everyone.

Remarks by Professor Yutaka Matsuo, Winner of the 1st Innovative Learning Awards Hosted by Learning of Tomorrow

Professor Hiroshi Komiyama, former president of the University of Tokyo, who is a passionate advocate for generative AI in higher education; Professor Ota, vice president of the University of Tokyo, who has spearheaded the active adoption of generative AI; and Takuro Imagawa, Director-General of the Bureau of Integrated Communications Infrastructure at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications

My mentor, Professor Yoichiro Kawaguchi, and Prince Hiroi of *Sakura Wars* are having a lively conversation filled with enigmatic exchanges.

Professor Jiro Kokuryo, Professor Emeritus Yukio Yanagisawa of the University of Tokyo, Shiga University President Akiyuki Takemura, and iU President Ichiya Nakamura, all enjoying a lively and friendly conversation about Maebashi.

    After graduating from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, he served as a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab before founding the NPO CANVAS and the Learning of Tomorrow Association, a General Incorporated Association, and assuming the role of representative. He serves as an outside director for Matsuya Co., Ltd., Fuji Media Holdings, Inc., and Digital Garage, Inc.
    He has served on various government committees, including the Information and Communications Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, as well as the NHK Central Broadcasting Program Council. He also serves as a director of the Digital Signage Consortium, among other roles. He holds a Ph.D. in Policy and Media.
    His publications include *Turning On Children’s Creativity!*, *What Are Smart Kids Doing on Their Smartphones?*, *The Forefront of Online Education in Japan: Considering Learning in the Post-COVID Era*,“What Is Programming Education? 45 Questions Parents Want to Know,” and “Declaration on Digital Education.” He has also provided supervision for numerous works, including “Ah, I See! Programming Education for Parents and Children Through Manga.”
